What To Bring

No need to bring beds, blankets, or food/water bowls. Please be sure to bring proof of vaccinations (rabies, Parvo/Distemper and Bordetella). You'll also need to bring your dog's food & include enough for an extra day in case you are delayed picking up. Food can get spilled or taken by a neighbor, so it is important to include a little extra. If you think your dog may not want to eat while you're away, you may include extra item to entice them like canned or fresh food. Food can be refrigerated here.

Medicine- If your dog needs medicine please be sure to include written instructions on how and when to administer. Please also note if medication is new to your dog so I am aware of possible reactions/allergies that may occur while in my care. There is a fee of $5 per day plus tax to administer medicine.  I do not give injections.

Busy bones, chew toys, Kongs & filled marrow bones are usually fine depending on your dog's chewing habits. Please do not bring rope toys, sharp bones, or any item that may be choking hazards.

Please be sure to let me know if your dog has had any recent injuries, surgeries, wounds, medical conditions, etc. I'll also need to be aware of any allergies as food and treats do get thrown around quite a bit. I sometimes make & give them home made peanut butter treats, so will need to know if there is an allergy in your home.

Please let me know (when requesting a reservation) if your dog has special needs. I am certified in Dog & Cat First Aid since 3/9/2013 and can administer first aid care for minor injuries or medical condition. In some cases, there may be a small fee for special care. In severe cases, I may recommend that your dog stays at a Veterinarian's Office when medical care can be administered if needed.

If your dog requires Emergency Medical Care for an injury or illness while in my care, there is a minimum fee of $75 to transport your dog to either of the Emergency Veterinary Hospitals in the Latham/Colonie, NY area.

TLC Pet Lodge, LLC- Located at 318 Garnsey Rd, Duanesburg, NY

TLC Pet Lodge is a dog boarding facility located in a beautiful country setting at 318 Garnsey Rd in Delanson, New York. TLC  sits on several acres, allowing for walks through the grass, the woods, and around a huge pond. The Lodge has 20 rooms and each room has an indoor and outdoor section. Dogs at TLC do not have physical contact with each other. All dogs are cared for with love & respect; and their safety & happiness are my top priorities.

The slideshow shows photos of the grounds as well as the dogs' rooms inside the Lodge. Tours of TLC are not offered at this time because there is just not enough time in the day. :) Telephone calls are very difficult but I am happy to answer questions via email at TLCLodge@gmail.com within 24 hours. Please take a look at TLC's Facebook page to see recent photos.

Living on the property allows me to check on your best friend at any time day or night 7 days per week and gives you the peace of mind knowing I'm only steps away. Whether here for a day, a week, a month or more, you can be sure your dog is being cared for with walks, play time, & lots of personal attention. I love dogs & enjoy spending time caring for them & discovering their unique personalities.

I make all of my guests as relaxed & comfortable as possible. Beds are provided for all guests unless their chewing habits make it unsafe to have beds in their rooms. Guests are provided with drinking water at all times while in their rooms unless you request otherwise. Water bowls & food dishes are provided as are slow-feeders if needed.

There are NO additional charges for making your dog comfortable- that's part of my job & one of my main goals. If your dog needs an extra walk or two to feel comfortable, we'll walk. If we need a little more time to get to know each other before he/she is okay with me handling him/her, then we spend a little extra time together. It usually only takes a short stay or two before most dogs are excited to come back to see me. Sometimes, it's a combination of nervous & excited. My hope is that their excitement to stay at TLC & to see me, will help give you a little more freedom to travel without feeling anxious or guilty.
